12 weeks, 4 days a week for 6 weeks, 3 days a week for the second 6 weeks, 42 full days of intense, hands-on learning in a small group to maximise your one on one learning time.

Weeks 1-2

Students start by developing the professional skills and standards required within a modern barbershop environment.

This stage introduces the key tools and equipment used in the industry, alongside essential hygiene procedures, client consultation techniques, and the fundamental theory behind professional haircutting.

Through live demonstrations, students are guided through the basics of sectioning and hair control, building an understanding of how accuracy, balance, and structure are achieved in professional haircuts.

Weeks 3-4

This phase begins with intensive practical training designed to strengthen scissor control and deepen students’ understanding of haircutting theory-Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, students explore how shape, weight, and structure influence the overall outcome of a haircut. This focused training period accelerates technical development while establishing a strong foundation for the practical training ahead.

Weeks 5-7

Students are introduced to the fundamental clipper techniques used in modern barbering, learning how to effectively combine clipper and scissor work to create clean, well-balanced haircuts.

At this stage, students begin progressing from closely guided practice to more independent work, helping build the confidence and technical ability needed before advancing to live model training.

Weeks 8-10

Students begin working on live models under supervision, gaining valuable real-world experience in client consultation, haircut execution, and finishing techniques.

This stage provides the ideal opportunity to revisit and refine previously learned techniques, developing them to a more advanced level while strengthening overall understanding and sharpening technical skills ahead of the final weeks of training.

Through consistent hands-on practice, students build speed, confidence, and consistency while working with real clients.

Weeks 11-12

The final weeks are centred around refining techniques and preparing students for professional assessment. Through mock practical sessions, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a structured environment before completing their final examination.

By the end of the programme, students will have developed the technical knowledge, confidence, and hands-on experience required to begin their career as a professional barber.
